Product Description

Buprenorphine Drug Test Dip Card

The Buprenorphine drug test will detect use of Suboxone®, Subutex® or Buprenex® (buprenorphine hydrochloride). This drug is currently being marketed in the United States for the treatment of opiate addiction.

Description:

  • Buprenorphine was originally used for pain relief purposes
  • The affinity rank of the Buprenorphine is high, which leads to buprenorphine drug addiction
  • Reliable Results in 5 Minutes
  • Individually Packaged for use anywhere
  • Extremely sensitive test

Instructions:

  • Open the sealed pouch by tearing along the notch. Remove the test device from the pouch.
  • Hold one side of the device with one hand. Use the other hand to pull off the cap and expose the absorbent end.
  • Immerse the absorbent end into the urine sample for about 10 seconds. Make sure that the urine level is not above the
“MAX” line printed on the front of the device
  • Lay the device flat on a clean, dry, non-absorbent surface.
  • Read the result in 5 minutes. Do not read after 5 minutes.

Drug cut-off:
BUP– Buprenorphine, 10 ng/ml - Suboxone/Subutex/Buprenorphine

Results:

Negative: Two distinct colored lines appear.  One colored line should be in the control line region (C), and another colored line should be in the test line region (T).

Positive: One colored line appears in the control region (C).  No line appears in the test line region (T).

INVALID: Control line (C) fails to appear.  Insufficient specimen volume or incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for the control line failure.  Review the procedure and repeat the test using a new test.

Additional Information:

Usually Buprenorphine is prescribed by doctors as a pain relief and this is approved by the FDA in 2002. Addiction to this drug can lead to many adverse effects like nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, itch, dry mouth, meiosis, orthostatic hypo tension and many more. With use of Buprenorphine, after intravenous injection of crushed tablets, hepatic necrosis (one type of hepatitis) and hepatitis with jaundice are found. Fatal respiratory depression is contradicted with concurrent use of Buprenorphine. Laboratory testing is also possible but it takes lot of time for performing the test.
