Interpretation:
Negative:
A rose-pink band is visible in the control zone (C) and the appropriate
test zone, indicating that the concentration of the corresponding drug
of that specific test zone is below the cut-off level of the test.
Positive:
A rose-pink band is visible in control zone (C). No color band appearing
in the appropriate test zone indicates a positive result for the corresponding
drug of that specific test zone.
A faint line is still
a negative result.
Invalid:
If no control line develops in the control zones, regardless of a line
develops in the test area or not, the test should be considered invalid.
Improper testing procedures, sample tampering, or test deterioration may
have occurred. In event of an invalid screen a second screen should be
run.
